The two one-act ballets will give the audience a surreal tour of one man’s delusion with dream like sequences named after popular cocktail drinks and an educational and historical look at Celtic mythology, with all of its magic, romance, intrigue, and excitement.

Claudia Rudolf Barrett, Artistic Director, choreographed this new ballet, and it is set to original Celtic music played live on stage by the popular Celtic band, The Silver Arm.Alexei Kremnev, Associate Artistic Director of ballet tech ohio performing arts association, choreographed the new Dances on the Rocks, a dreamlike excursion into one man’s delusion.

Nuada is an historic ballet about the Celtic King Nuada of the Silver Arm, a magical, mythical story of royalty, romance, marriage, and a monumental Clash of Celtic Clans.

Set in ancient times, this Celtic myth teaches a moral lesson and provides plenty of excitement: a Renaissance Man, Druids, a Prince and Princess, and action-packed Clash of Celtic Clans. Dances on the Rocks depicts the cacophony of modern life in the city through dances such as Manhattan, Bay Breeze, Mimosa, French Kiss and White Russian. Experience the surreal sense of waking up from a dream on the morning after, the raw emotion of a love affair between a man and two women, the rat race of living in the city, a reflection of feelings between two human beings.

ballet tech ohio performing arts association under the Direction of Claudia Rudolf Barrett presents Dances on the Rocks and Nuada Tuesday, October 1st , at 7:30 PM and Friday and Saturday, October 4th and 5th at 8 PM at the Jarson-Kaplan Theater in the Aronoff Center for the Arts. $18.
