Karin started dancing
at the age of 4 along side her mother and other women who attended
the beginning ballet class offered at the Louisville Art Workshop.
At the age of twelve, her formal ballet training began under the direction
of Jane Burkhalter who taught classes at the Arts Consortium in Cincinnati
Ohio. Karin continued her studies at the School for Creative and Performing
Arts. At the age of 17, Karin joined Espere Dance Company later named
Espere Dance Ministry and applied all of the many years of dance training.
Espere under the direction of Gayle Brock, who studied under James
Truitt, one of the original Alvin Alley dancers, was the first professional
liturgical dance company in the Tri-State area, and Cincinnati Ohio.
This groundbreaking dance company traveled the Midwest sharing the
gospel through dance. Karin has taught & choreographed Ballet,
Praise & Worship Classes and more throughout Greater Cincinnati.
