2007 Chinese Dance Camp
with Families with Children from China
and H.T. Chen & Dancers from NYC.
August 6-10
Ages 6 - 9 – 9 AM – 11 AM
Ages 10 & up 12 PM – 3PM

Students will have the opportunity to explore elements of traditional Chinese culture through calligraphy and the use of dance props. They will also explore traditional and contemporary dance techniques, learn company repertoire, and compose dance studies that allow them to bring their own cultural heritage and dance practices to the imaginative investigation of movement.

Get the inside scoop on the Arts in Cincinnati with a first hand sneak preview of the Arts, community development and renovation progress in Kennedy Heights at the "Hard Hat" Sneak Preview on Thursday, August 9, 2007 from 6PM-8PM at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center, 6546 Montgomery Road.

The Kennedy Heights Arts Center, the Planning Committee for the Montgomery Corridor Arts District and ballet tech cincinnati are co-sponsors.

The event will include live entertainment including smooth jazz by National Recording Artist Wilbert Longmire,
The Hank Stephens Experience
and a Chinese dance exhibition;
dinner-by-the-bite, wine bar
and small group "Hard Hat Sneak Preview" tours of the new
ballet tech cincinnati world headquarters
currently under renovation across the street

ballet tech cincinnati has recently received new funding to support its programming and its new world headquarters. Macy’s, Inc, National City Bank, the Ohio Arts Council and several individuals have given their vote of confidence to the Gala of International Ballet Stars with their sponsorships. A handful of International Restaurants including Edibles ‘N’ Such catering, Cafe Istanbul, Kyoto, Nicholson's, and more are giving in-kind support to contribute to the success of the Gala Global Fare pre-show event. Our Raising the Barre Capital Campaign is getting an excellent start with large grants from the City of Cincinnati, Carl Lindner and support from the Kennedy Heights Community Council.
